Chain Gang Getaways is an official RAGBRAI charter that takes pride in providing a seamless and enjoyable experience for cyclists participating in the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI). Operated by John Skradski, a dedicated High School teacher from Omaha, NE, our charter is rooted in a passion for cycling and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Founder's Background:
John Skradski, the heart and soul behind Chain Gang Getaways, is not just an entrepreneur but also a seasoned cyclist and a 12-time RAGBRAI veteran. His connection to Iowa runs deep, having spent cherished summers in Grinnell with his grandparents during childhood. A proud alum of the University of Northern Iowa, John brings a unique blend of local knowledge, cycling expertise, and genuine hospitality to the charter.
